About Event

CookOff is CodeChef-VIT's annual competitive coding event which has been held consecutively for the past eight years. It is India's largest competitive coding event where participants from all over the country come together to test their knowledge and skills to eventually emerge as an ultimate winner of this 8 hour long event. Participants would be required to solve problems of various complexities with the increase in the difficulty level with each round leading to an ultimate winner.

What is Cookoff-8.0?
A competitive coding event with increasing rounds of difficulty and elimination until there is an ultimate winner. It is an individual event which requires skill, problem solving and competence.
Will it be a team event?
No, it is an individual participant event and not a team based event.
Is there a registration fee?
It is ₹150 (incl GST)
How can I register?
Registrations can be done on the gravitas portal itself.
What languages are supported?
Java, C++, C, Python and other not so popular languages
Can we bring our laptops?
Yes, your own devices will have to be brought.
Will CookOff be online?
No, CookOff will be held offline in Anna Auditorium on 24th september.
How long is the event?
The event is 8 hours long.
When is CookOff - 8.0?
CookOff will be held on 24th September.
I have a basic knowledge about coding. Can I still participate?
Yes, the contest will have problems ranging from beginner to intermediate and further advanced levels. Anyone interested in programming with basic knowledge in any one programming language can participate.
Am I required to download any software?
The event will be held on our portal, you don't need any external software
Will I get a certificate?
Yes certificates will be provided.
